Brad Sweet Maintains Third in Points after Three Top-Ten Finishes
Brad Sweet and the No. 49 Ollie’s Outlet/ASE/Sage Fruit team battled back from deep in the field to come home with three top-ten finishes over the weekend.
Mid-week summer races are starting to hit the World of Outlaws schedule, with a Wednesday show last week at Lincoln Speedway in Lincoln, Pa. Then a quick road trip to Mechanicsburg, Pa. for Friday and Saturday night shows at the famed Williams Grove Speedway.
The battle between full-time World of Outlaws teams versus “The Pennsylvania Posse” – teams that are based in and primarily compete in the Commonwealth State, which is a hotbed for sprint car talent – always brings out great competition with exciting race finishes.
Sweet and the No. 49 team fought hard all weekend bringing home a top-10 in each event, keeping him solidly in third in the season point standings. On Saturday at “The Grove,” Sweet was able to bring home a tenth-place finish, advancing ten positions during the 30-lap feature.
