Chase Elliott and the No. 9 NAPA Auto Parts team started fourth in Sunday’s NASCAR Cup Series race at Atlanta Motor Speedway after qualifying was rained out and the lineup was set according to the metric. Elliott showed strength early in the race, continuing to battle inside the top 10 and leading 11 laps in the caution-free opening stage en route to a fifth-place finish at lap 60.
