Flagship NAPA Hunt Valley Store to Celebrate Grand Opening

Brett Dolinger is a market leader in NAPA wholesale sales, the part of the business that supplies NAPA Auto Parts to repair shops. But retail sales, selling parts to do-it-yourselfers, was all new for Dolinger when he decided to expand his business with a NAPA Hunt Valley retail store. That turned out to be a good thing. It allowed Dolinger to go beyond the typical template and create a truly special kind of NAPA store.

“We started kicking around a vision for a retail location that would be more of a destination for shoppers, an experience. We wanted to create the Wegman’s [a high-end grocery store chain] of auto parts, a real showplace for NAPA,” Dolinger explained.

The result is NAPA of Hunt Valley, just outside Baltimore, Maryland. Dolinger’s store, which celebrates its grand opening Friday, August 9^th and Saturday, August 10^th, is larger than most, with 9,000 square feet of retail space. Old-town style storefronts are built inside the space, each housing a category of specialty parts – truck accessories and performance parts, for example – behind its façade. NAPA of Hunt Valley truly raises the bar for what a NAPA Auto Parts retail store can be.

The NAPA of Hunt Valley Grand Opening celebration will go above and beyond expectations, too. Saturday, August 10 will be the big Grand Opening celebration for retail customers. Immediately following the Hunt Valley Horsepower Saturday meet-up at Hunt Valley Towne Centre event, Dolinger and the staff at NAPA of Hunt Valley will invite attendees – and anyone else interested in celebrating the grand opening – back to the store, which is located just ten minutes from the car show.

The store is open from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. But from 10 until 4, you can expect a party. Ron Capps’ NAPA Funny Car will be on hand, and NAPA Hunt Valley will be giving away door prizes. Grab a soft pretzel and check out the kids activities, or get a spectacular deal on deeply discounted items available only at the Hunt Valley NAPA.

“Everyone who visits this place says ‘oh my gosh’ when they’re in here,” Dolinger said. That’s just on an average day. The grand opening will be even more spectacular.
