Pursley, NAPA No. 9 Team inside Top 10 at Big Sky

High Limit Racing resumed competition and charted new territory this week at Big Sky Speedway in Billings, Montana. Daison Pursley and the NAPA Auto Parts No. 9 team made the 10-hour trek and visited with local NAPA Auto Parts employees and customers before heading to the track, looking to win big at Big Sky.

Pursley turned a 12.785 for seventh in Hot Laps and qualified 17th with a 13.044, landing him P6 to start Heat Race 3 of the night. In the opening lap, Pursley leapt to fifth and held that position to the checkers. That set him up to start from P14 in the 30-lap A-Feature. The racy surface allowed for movement throughout the field, and on lap 19, Purlsey had battled up to the eighth position. A mid-race caution and a challenging restart moved the No. 9 back to 12th before a two-lap dash to the finish. Pursley made it back inside the top 10, bringing the NAPA No. 9 machine to the line in ninth for his 11th top-10 on the season.

Inclement weather canceled Saturday’s racing action.

High Limit Racing will be back at it after the Fourth of July holiday on July 13, at Fremont Speedway in Ohio, to kick off one of the biggest weeks in racing. Watch every lap live on the FloRacing app.
