The NAPA Auto Parts No. 49 team rolled into Central Arizona Raceway carrying a wave of momentum, with Brad Sweet yet to finish off the podium in the 2025 High Limit season. The reigning High Limit Racing champion showcased that same speed in Casa Grande, battling at a new track and securing another trip to Victory Lane at the Duel in the Desert.

On Friday, Sweet came out fast, qualifying third in Flight B to earn the pole for Heat 3. The NAPA No. 49 was untouchable once again in heat race action, cruising to victory and locking in another Dash appearance. However, the High Limit Redraw Wheel was not in Sweet’s favor, giving him the eighth and final starting spot. He worked his way up to sixth, setting up a third-row starting spot for Friday’s Feature.

The 25-lap A-Main saw intense battles throughout the entire field, with Sweet pushing forward to fourth by lap 15. A caution reset the field, and Sweet made a charge for second with 11 laps to go. The action-packed Feature event saw the top four running nose-to-tail. Sweet ultimately brought the NAPA No. 49 home in fourth—his first finish of the season off the podium.

With a new format in place, Friday’s top-four finishers were locked into Saturday’s heat races, and Sweet lined up fourth in Heat 4. Determined to rebound, he powered to third in the heat, securing another Dash appearance. This time, the redraw was much kinder, landing him third to start the Dash. Sweet maintained his position to earn a third-place starting spot in the Feature.

The A-Main saw an early battle between Sweet and his boss, Kasey Kahne, who led the first 10 laps. With 15 laps remaining, Sweet capitalized on a move to the high side, taking over the top spot and never looking back. The NAPA No. 49 dominated the second half of the race, securing Sweet’s second victory of the season and extending his early championship lead.
