After a brief but productive reset at the Kasey Kahne Racing shop in Mooresville, NC, the NAPA Auto Parts No. 49 team came out swinging at Florence Speedway for the Kentucky Sprint Nationals. Driver Brad Sweet entered the weekend sitting second in the High Limit Racing points standings — just 9 points behind competitor Aaron Reutzel. Sweet and the NAPA No. 49 crew were focused on reclaiming the top spot.

With speed from the moment his crew unloaded, Sweet qualified second out of a 30-car field. That effort placed him fourth to start in Heat 2, where he maintained position and advanced to the Dash Redraw. The High Limit redraw wheel of fortune landed Sweet on the front row of the Dash, starting second. From there, he powered past Rico Abreu to win the Dash and secure the pole for the 25-lap main event.

In the Feature, it was all NAPA No. 49. Sweet took the lead on the opening lap and never looked back — mastering traffic and hitting his marks with precision. Leading all 25 laps, Sweet claimed his third win of the 2025 High Limit season in dominant fashion, earning the $10,000 payday and vaulting back to the top of the championship standings by a 3-point margin.

Unfortunately, Saturday’s portion of the Kentucky Sprint Nationals was rained out, but momentum is clearly on the NAPA 49 team’s side as they head into one of the biggest stretches of the season.

A massive week lies ahead for Brad Sweet and the NAPA team, with five races in six days across Ohio. The action begins with Fremont Speedway on Monday. Then, it’s on to Eldora Speedway for four consecutive nights of racing, culminating in the prestigious Kings Royal crown and major prize money up for grabs. The NAPA team is locked in and ready for battle on one of the sport’s grandest stages.
