Brad Sweet Captures Three Straight Top Fives

The World of Outlaws returned to Deer Creek Speedway in Spring Valley, Minn., on July 6th for a make up event due to a rain out on June 29th. The race resumed on lap three of 40, with Brad Sweet and the NAPA AUTO PARTS team restarting third.
Shortly after the green flag, the No. 49 Kasey Kahne Racing team suffered a right rear tire failure. The team was able to get a new tire on quickly, with Brad re-joining the field at the tail. Sweet worked traffic the remainder of the race, methodically working his way up to the fifth position at the drop of the checkered flag.

The series then headed to New Richmond, Wisc., the next night for the first of a two-night event at Cedar Lake Speedway. Sweet started fifth and finished second both nights, remaining second in the standings and a mere 80 points behind current leader Donny Schatz.
