Eighteen-year-old Gio Scelzi scored a career-best outing at The Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, finishing second in the General Tire 150 aboard the No. 16 NAPA AUTO PARTS / Curb Records Toyota Camry. The result is Scelzi’s fourth podium of his rookie season driving for Bill McAnally Racing in the ARCA Menards Series West.

Scelzi qualified sixth on the .375-mile oval and advanced to second, part of a BMR 1-2-3 finish in an historic day for the team. Scelzi’s runner-up finish propelled him to fourth in the standings. He is 43 points out of the lead and 13 behind teammate and race winner Gracie Trotter.

Up next will be an ARCA Menards Series West double header weekend on Oct. 23 and 25. On Friday, Oct. 23, Scelzi will race at All American Speedway in Roseville, Calif. in the NAPA AUTO PARTS 125. Sunday Oct. 25, will be the NAPA AUTO PARTS / ENEOS 125 at the Kern County Raceway Park during the famed October Classic.

The team has piled on six titles in the last eight seasons with four different drivers since 2015. BMR will campaign the NAPA Auto Care entry with a newly renumbered No. 19 Chevrolet SS. Daniel Hemric will begin the 2025 AMSW behind the wheel at Kern County Raceway on Saturday, January 25th.
