Brad Sweet Continues Top-5 Streak
Brad Sweet and the No. 49 NAPA AUTO PARTS/Sage Fruit/ASE team continued their impressive start of the season, capturing two more top-five finishes over the weekend. In the last eight races, the team has earned seven top-5 finishes.
On Friday, April 7, the team earned their third consecutive quick time during qualifying at Cocopah Speedway. The track took rubber during the feature, making it hard to pass. The caution flag flew with only five laps to go, allowing Brad to move from fourth to third position as the checkered flag fell.
On Saturday, the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series stopped at Arizona Speedway in Queen Creek, Ariz. Qualifying seventh, Brad and the team also started seventh in the 30-lap feature which went caution free. Brad was able to work traffic and advance to fourth on the final lap.
